Description
Swirly, geometric table runner. Muted "almost" rainbow color stripes on one side. On the other, the artist creatively sewed the fabric in strips to make a fantastic, concentric swirled pattern.
From the Donor
My 3rd try at curved piecing free form. Finally, it worked! Enjoy!

The black background on this coordinating set allows the rainbow of colors to pop! Backsides are a lovely, colorful paisley, with a swirly quilting pattern. Rectangular table runner with 6 coordinating placemats. Colorful paisley print backing. Machine wash and dry, but expect a bit of shrinkage. Best to spot clean. 100% cotton.
As humans, we need to make sure all kids feel safe and supported in all areas of their lives, including the schools. The suicide rate among this group of kids is just incomprehensible. I participate in this auction so that GSAFE can continue to advocate for our youth.

A table runner; tree theme canopy to roots; with six sections of the rainbow and with the colors of the transgender flag as the main leader of the tree.
Some species of trees are dioecious, meaning that the male and female reproductive parts are on separate individuals of the species. The opposite of this is monoecious, meaning each individual plant of the species has both reproductive parts. Interestingly, there are examples of dioecious trees that appear to be male (no fruit producing) that begins to start producing fruit, and thus are seen to change from male to female. in some ways this reminds me humans, some are dioecious, others monoecious, and sometimes the dioecious are not what they appear at "birth". I am a landscape designer and I made this quilt to support the LGTQA+ community that I am part of and that I have loved ones who are a part of that and live in Madison.
