Living Climbing History: Climb with Latok I Team

In 1978, four of America's finest alpinists (Jim Donini, Michael Kennedy, George Lowe and Jeff Lowe) approached the untouched North Ridge of Latok 1. Their 26 day epic through storm and sickness ended tantalizingly close to the summit. Over the next four decades more than thirty teams of world class climbers failed to get closer than 2,000 vertical feet below their high point. The climb has become the holy Holy Grail of alpinism, and the North Ridge, in its entirety, remains unclimbed.

The winner of this package will get to experience living climbing history! Head out for a day of adventure with legends Jim Donini, Michael Kennedy, and George Lowe. About the Book: Eldorado Canyon is a historic, classic rock climbing destination. Steve Levin's newest edition is the most comprehensive guide for Eldorado Canyon State Park. Offering traditionally protected, sandstone cliffs up to 700ft, and just a short drive from Boulder. This guidebook is a must-have on any rock climber's bookshelf. Steve Levin's first climb was a guided ascent in 1972 of the Upper Exum in the Tetons, an experience that instilled in him a love and respect for the mountains. Since then Steve has travelled and climbed throughout the US and abroad. His favorite Colorado climbing areas are Eldorado Canyon (for which he wrote the guidebook); the Black Canyon of the Gunnison; and the granite walls of Rocky Mountain National Park. AAC Library VIP Behind The Scenes Tour

The AAC Library is a gem, packed full of climbing history! You and 5 friends will join Library Director, Katie Sauter, for a special, behind the scenes tour of the library and museum.

You'll get access to places and things not open to the public. From rare manuscripts and books, to original photographs from Ansel Adams and Brad Washburn, to letters from John Muir and the 1938 K2 expedition members, you will get a glimpse of climbing history.

Established in 1916, the AAC Library is one of the oldest alpine libraries in the United States. We have a collection of more than 20,000 books and videos devoted to mountaineering, alpinism, rock climbing, ice climbing, and bouldering. The Library focuses on American and foreign guidebooks, mountain regions everywhere, including Mount Everest and the Himalayas, and the Alps. Our mission as climbing's cultural heritage archive is to preserve mountaineering history. The collection includes nearly 600 journals and magazines from all over the world, and over 500 videos and DVDs.

Lost Ranch 7- Night Stay

In the secluded South Fork of Cody, WY some of the best ice climbing in the world exists! It will be your personal playground when you stay just down the road at The Lost Ranch.

The directions to the Ranch start when you leave the pavement. With 2 bedrooms and a couch, you can fit up to 6 people in this adorable, cozy ranch home. After long days of ice climbing, come back and slip into the hot tub. Nothing is better on sore muscles!
