Any exemptions (medical, religious, etc.) or negative PCR/Rapid tests will not be accepted in place of the vaccine.

People are considered fully vaccinated:

-2 weeks after their second shot in a 2-dose series, like the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines, or
-2 weeks after a single-shot vaccine, like Johnson & Johnson's Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine
-The booster shot is not required to be considered fully vaccinated

To accommodate the members of our community who have not received the vaccine, we will live stream the Gala on Saturday, April 23rd and offer virtual tickets that include delivered meals and cocktails.

AAoM is proud to partner with KOACORE for our vaccine validation efforts in 2022.

Why the Mission Matters:

When President John F. Kennedy announced that the United States would "choose to go to the Moon," his goal was to persuade the American people to support the Apollo missions to land a man on the Moon. That was September 12, 1962. Sixty years later, Autism Alliance of Michigan (AAoM) has embraced the loftiness of that goal and has declared to create jobs for 101,000 people with autism in Michigan over the next 10 years.
AAoM is taking this journey one, thoughtful step at a time. Our three pillars of service will create the life path to ensure all people with autism attain their own, personal moonshot:

  1. Early Diagnosis: Reduce the average age of diagnosis to age 2 through early identification of ASD and barrier-free access to services.
  2. Education: Ensure access to a high quality, inclusive education to match high school graduation rate and positive postsecondary outcomes for people with autism to general population rates.
  3. Employment: Match the employment rate of the general population for people with autism seeking employment through accessible, high-quality employment, supported living, housing, and transportation.

Overarching these pillars is the foundational right to independence, health & wellbeing within a safe, inclusive community.
