Twilight of Solace
Mixed Media
14" x 10.5"
Artist Statement
Storytelling and world building are the main aspects of my artwork, whether it is sequential, illustrative, fantasy, or traditional, there is always a story within the image. To capture these stories, I primarily use traditional materials such as oil, acrylic, pen and ink, or mixed media. Everything is placed into the image from a spontaneous idea to capture the moment. My images can be symbolic, inviting the viewer to look into the space with speculation. I rely on human desires of beauty, horror, destruction, seduction, adventure, and triumph to achieve my narrative.

We Are All Dreamers
Acrylic
15" x 30"
Artist Statement
As a Latino immigrant child growing up in the United States, I learned about the safety of my imagination. As an artist, I have found that art has given me a tool to escape safely and tap into a source of release that heals, empowers, and provides understanding. I believe that we all experience the world in our own unique way. My art allows me to go on a journey and recapture experiences through different media. As I cross the bridge between thinking and feeling, I always go back to my reference pictures and sketches, but it is really what is in my heart that gets translated into my artwork. As an immigrant Latino woman whose experience has been about relocating I find my themes reflect cultural diversity, movement and growth. I find nature grounds me and helps me move forward in my life. My desire is to connect on a human level with the world. I envision myself inspiring others to be free and to celebrate their own creativity.

Artist's Statement for
An Intersection of Parallels
Not a dream but my real-life encounter with a creature that supposedly doesn't exist, yet Native Americans have reported for centuries. A moment of perception of a different realm challenging a point of view of what is real or what may be outside of what is allowed to be real. An unforgettable larger than life encounter in July of 2009!
Biography
Brett Greiman, a graduate of the York Academy of Arts, has been working in his art services business since 1998 after working two decades in the pre-press industry.
In the pre-press industry, he first worked in page layout and then moved into Illustration. This background of a strong knowledge of what's needed for print combined with talent and experience in the Adobe programs is a rare and valuable commodity in today's digital world!
Brett was a part time instructor at Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts, later becoming the Art Institute of York, Pennsylvania. Brett instructed in a wide variety of subjects such as drawing, color theory, illustration, rendering, three levels of graphic design instruction as well as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Brett now often teaches classes at the York Art Association specializing in acrylic painting.

New Growth
Acrylic and colored pencil
18" x 24"
Artist Bio
My name is Sam Halterman, I graduated with a Bachelor's of Fine Art in Illustration from Pennsylvania College of Art & Design in 2017. I primarily work in graphite, acrylic gouache, and digital mediums, but I also enjoy working in other mediums as I like to experiment and try new things to keep my creative muscles growing. I love anything botanical and whimsical, most especially mushrooms, and I try to include them in every single piece I create!
"New Growth" is a visual realization of becoming a mother. What a foreign and almost alien-like feeling it was to have another person being built inside of me! In hindsight, this year seems to be the strangest and weirdest time to have a baby - with all the death and destruction that is happening, but my little bean gives me hope. What a beautiful thing creating life is amongst all the devastation of the last year and a half!

How'd You Sleep
Paper collage
19" x 12"
Artist Bio
Meagan Lopez looks into the lives of existing images to find poetry in the mundane and even unearthly evils. Daughter of many generations of creatives, Meagan was raised surrounded by the eclectic and unusual. She was most artistically influenced by her Oma, Sheila Prichard. This is where she learned the fundamentals of many mediums. Meagan's Oma graduated Summa Cum Laude from Maryland Institute College of Art, and taught Meagan how to create a visual gateway to express and explain. Meagan was fascinated watching Oma pull images from magazines and fabrics to flesh-out her next creation. Watching her Oma clearly cut and methodically place was inspiring. Meagan believes the process is a masterpiece within itself.
Meagan lives in York, PA with her succulents, two tabbies and beagle, Gracie Lou.

Our Present Reality

Artist Bio
I was always a prolific dreamer and growing up in a coal town, the ways in which I was able to embrace and interest the "creative side" in me, was through the movies and the small random exhibitions placed in odd places and at odd times. My first memories of art was as a child while waiting in line at the local cafeteria. They would hold exhibits which would cascade up the walls to the food. I stood in awe of these creations and felt whoever did these held some secret power that I wanted a part. The colors, lines, and forms twisted in my mind tendering me an explosion of imaginative potential. It wasn't much later that I went into a local stationary store where my grandmother, keenly aware of this interest, bought me Japanese oil pastels in a wooden box- the beginning of a long love affair with the arts.
My art is a reflection of my lifetime trials and tribulations. Reality as a theme is compromised to the surreal and whimsical, horror is wed with humor and color, all of which highlights the instability of emotion.

Dreaming of Nights in the High Desert
Oil
11.2" x 11.2" framed
Art Statement
I make small oil paintings of big spaces focused on the rural landscape. I strive to interpret the broad skies and far horizons surrounding me with hope that the viewer may renew their own sense of place in the world.
I paint with oils, primarily on panels using painting knives and mark-making to parallel the texture of the land and sky. I began painting in a small format several years ago, mainly out of a desire to simplify and found working small is not only conducive to maintaining a daily painting practice but it also affords me a greater opportunity to achieve my goal to provide a quiet, intimate interpretation of the land.
