Carol Oldenburg was born in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting from Kutztown State College, Kutztown, Pennsylvania. Oldenburg highlights the beauty in images she sees on a daily basis; both gardens and farmland have been recurring themes in her paintings. She applies, rubs in, scratches through, and layers paint to achieve the subtle effects, described as dreamlike, that are evident in her work.

Carol Oldenburg's award winning paintings have been included in curated and juried exhibits in galleries and museums across the country at such places as Sue Greenwood Fine Art in Laguna Beach, CA; Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts; Carla Massoni Gallery, Chestertown, MD and The State Museum of Pennsylvania. She is a participant in the "Art in the Embassies" program having displayed work at the American Embassy, Togo, Africa and as an invited guest at the White House for the 40th Anniversary of the program. Her work has been featured in numerous publications including Artist's Homes and Studios, 100 Artists of the MidAtlantic and issue #33 of New American Paintings. Her paintings can be found in the permanent collections of The State Museum of Pennsylvania, The Harley Davidson Motor Company, Glatfelter Insurance Group, Wellspan and Penn State University among others. Carol currently lives in York, PA where she has established OMG STUDIOS along with her daughter, Kara Oldenburg-Gonzales, in the Royal Square District of downtown York.
