Meet Our Gala Host, Ty Milburn

Ty Milburn is an Emmy award-winning storyteller with a passion for unearthing stories that highlight the underdogs among us and underserved communities. He's currently a content creator and a Communications Executive at the Foodbank for New York City.

Prior to that, he spent 20 years as an anchor, reporter, host, and producer at television news stations across the country. Twelve of those years were spent at News 12 Westchester as an anchor, reporter and host of the popular real estate show Luxury Living.

In his spare time, Ty serves as a Board Member at the Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center.

Introducing our 2022 Honorees...

Opened in 1915, Burke has been a leader in medical rehabilitation for more than 100 years. Burke Rehabilitation Hospital, a member of the Montefiore Health System, is one of the nation's premier leaders in rehabilitation medicine. Burke has provided high-quality, innovative, and compassionate care to patients at their 150-bed adult acute rehabilitation hospital in White Plains, New York.

Taiwo (Tai) Griffith is a registered nurse with over 8 years of experience at VNSW providing outstanding client care. Her daily responsibilities include the safe delivery of quality home care to clients in the Bronx and Westchester and coordinating all care in the home. Ms. Griffith coordinates the plan of care specific to the needs of individual clients in conjunction with all health team members. She has instructed patients, caregivers, and home health aides in aspects of patient care as appropriate and worked in conjunction with a patient's physician to modify the plan of care accordingly. Ms. Griffith received her BSN from the Chamberlain School of Nursing and holds a Masters in Nursing, which she both received with honors.

Dan Lansen is the President of ANATOMY_IT., one of the largest healthcare-focused Managed IT Services firms in the country.  Prior to ANATOMY_IT., Dan was the Managing Partner at Compufit, LLC, for over a decade. Under Dan's leadership, the company grew to one of the largest IT services firms in the region, being recognized as an INC. 5000 regional winner. Dan has been honored as the recipient of the Business Council of Westchester's "40 under 40" Rising Stars Award and the Westchester County Association's Young Professional of the Year. Dan graduated with a Business Administration degree from the University of Richmond, where he met his wife, Becky.

Frederic Siegel is a healthcare executive and serial entrepreneur with over 30 years of leadership experience in business and product development. Mr. Siegel spent most of his career with American Medical Alert as Executive Vice President and Board Member. In 2015, Fred started Caring24 Health Technologies, a 24/7 life safety monitoring service with over 20 dedicated employees. While growing Caring24, he successfully launched Contact Health which enables proactive health monitoring, video interactions, medication reminders, and clinical triage to allow for rapid intervention and outreach to improve health outcomes and reduce avoidable hospital admissions. Mr. Siegel attended Ithaca College and holds a BA in Marketing and Finance. He currently resides in Lido Beach, NY with his wife Jill and two children Miles and Zachary.

Introducing our 2022 Community Heroes...

Dawn W. French is the Senior Vice President for Marketing, Communication and Community Relations at White Plains Hospital. In her role, Ms. French is responsible for overseeing the brand and public reputation of the Hospital through management of marketing, communications, and community relations as well as government affairs efforts. As a member of the executive leadership team, she also provides counsel that helps the organization prioritize strategies to deliver on its mission of providing care that is exceptional.
Ms. French currently serves on the Westchester Regional Board of Directors of the American Heart Association, where she has chaired the Go Red For Women Westchester campaign in 2021 and is co-chair of the campaign in 2022. She also serves on the Board of ArtsWestchester.

Sister Mary Anne Powers has been a member of the Congregation of Notre Dame, Blessed Sacrament Province for the past 55 years. Sr. Mary Anne earned her M.S. in Education and her M.Ed in Leadership: Administration and Supervision from Bank Street College of Education In New York City. For 27 years, she ministered as a teacher and administrator in elementary schools in Connecticut and New York. In 2009, she became a member of the Province Leadership Team and was Province Leader from 2017 - 2021.
She and her team faced many challenges during the COVID-19 epidemic, the ever-present support and care of the navigators and administrative staff of VNSW was a lifeline for the Leadership Team and Sisters of the Province. This valued partnership continues to support each of the Sisters in her life journey to age with grace and receive the support and assistance to continue to discover ways they can be of service.
