One 12-Bottle Case of 2010 Château Pichon-Longueville Baron Pauillac
From an estate known for producing some of the finest Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines in the world, this vintage is no exception. The sensational Pichon-Longueville Baron is opaque purple, with loads of charcoal, licorice, incense and some exotic Asian spices along with abundant cassis liqueur, blackberry and hints of roasted coffee and spring flowers. Full-bodied and opulent with relatively high tannins, this vintage needs five to six years of cellaring, and should keep 30+ years. (97+ Points)
One 12-Bottle Case of 2005 Château Pavie Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
Classified by Robert Parker as a "tour de force in winemaking" and a top Bordeaux of its year, the 2005 Château Pavie Saint-Émilion Grand Cru is beautifully rich, full and multidimensional. Dense, opaque purple to the rim, with a gorgeously promising nose of blackberries, cassis, graphite and cedar wood just beginning to emerge, this beauty is intense and full-bodied, with magnificent concentration, a majestic mouthfeel and a total seamless integration of tannin, wood, and alcohol. Enjoy now for the next 50-100 years! (100 Points)
Chairman's Selection from 2Red Winery
Dr. Robert Hollander first started making wine in 2007 as a passion project that reflected his longstanding interest in wine. His 2Red Winery crafts small-volume, award-winning wines with all proceeds from sales supporting prostate cancer research at leading medical centers and NCI-designated cancer centers around the country. This assorted case, personally selected by Dr. Hollander's friends and In Vino Vita Event Chairs Drs. Maggie and Bob Beck, includes two bottles each of the 2007 Châteauneuf du Bob's Castle, the Syrah-based Rhône-style blend from 2010 and 2014, and the Zinpiphany Zinfandel from 2010, 2015 and 2017.
One Double Magnum Bottle of 2Red Winery's 2013 #2Red
The outstanding 2013 White Hawk Syrah with its classic bouquet of dark berry fruits with floral overtones formed the backbone of the #2Red. While the intensity of the Syrah fruit has given this wine tremendous appeal in its youth, the structure and complexity of the blend has shown that each vintage evolves beautifully with each passing year. Enjoy today, or cellar for that next special occasion.
One Double Magnum of Chateau Pape Clement 2005
This rare, double magnum bottle of Chateau Pape Clement 2005 is praised by Robert Parker as one of the great wines of the vintage. With a blend of 55% merlot and 45% cabernet sauvignon, this vintage has an opaque color and smoky barbecue and chocolaty notes intermixed with cassis and blackberries. There is some underlying minerality in this full bodied, super concentrated wine which has wonderfully sweet, well-integrated tannins. Drink now through 2040. (99 Points)
