My art piece is significant to me because a big part of my inspiration in art is nature. I love being outside and looking at the sky, and the sunsets and morning colors. When I'm in the woods camping or on a big hill at night I love to listen to the beautiful silence of nature and looking at the stars, they're so mesmerizing and you can get lost in them. Purple is my favorite color, and I love looking at brightly colored clouds through the gaps in the trees. My art piece is Bold because it is an expression of my deep inner childhood self running through the woods at night and taking in the wonders of the world.
My art project is based on BOLD art, it's meant to stand out and it can mean many things. The reason I made this art piece was to show bold colors and to stand out. I've always favored retro, (directly from a Latin preposition meaning "backward" or "behind") tv shows that brought back nostalgia. I loved the fashion trends, movie styles, and art designs that were featured back then. This art project is representing the 50s by showing the clothing trend and art style (Pop art).
My art expresses boldness because of how it shows existence. My painting is a combination of planets, stars, and the empty vastness of space. It shows how even when it looks like there is nothing, beautiful things still fill up the space. The difference colored stars also show that there is an assortment of beautiful things in existence. That it's not subjected to one group of people. This is how my art piece expresses boldness.
There are many reasons people use art. It can be a way to express an emotion or a picture in your mind as well as a fun way to pass time. I see my art style as bold and sort of trippy as well and that's why I love it so much. Even though it may not look like it, I have expressed so many feelings in my art. Like my art, my emotions are very abstract. My piece is bold because of the amount of bright and in your face colors I've used and all the little drawings and doodles that come together to form one big art piece. Making this art piece I chose to name it COVER because in my life I have felt that I have had to put a cover on my real personality in fear that people might not like me. My art is a way to just be in the zone with myself and express all of the BOLDNESS I have to offer this world.
This art piece is BOLD because of the colors and concept. The main thing making the art piece not "normal" is that the whole idea of the art pieces is that it's not far moved from reality but just enough where it seems like fantasy.
My art piece is a bright sun with a blue background which I painted with watercolors. It shows BOLDNESS with bright yellow and blue. For some people the colors could represent happiness, warmth, or calmness. The sun in my artwork could also represent strength, confidence or courage to some.
The meaning of bold to me is something with shapes and colors. I see bold in my artwork because it has circles in it, different size squares, and different size rectangles. It also has the colors red, blue, yellow, black, and gray. It also has thick and thin lines.
My artwork is bold because I personally believe that my work consists of characteristics of the world, bold. For example, I took a major risk and was confident in what I wished to continue to make. The hints of yellow, red, blue, and white help represent vivid and bold movements in the background. Then the background somewhat pops out to show dimension although it's not as much as I would like it to be. But then again I took a major risk in what I decided to paint and showed off how I truly felt in the moment and continued to paint based on how I feel.
This piece of art defines BOLDNESS, because when you look at my art, the emotions it expresses throughout the picture are sadness, depression, or anxiety. This represents someone who may be being controlled or feels insecure about how they look. I used charcoal and blending techniques in order to make it show emotion.
I used a variety of acrylic paint on canvas to paint a lake and a sunset. I painted this because my family and I run by the lake on the weekends and sometimes I see the beautiful sky and I wanted to paint it. The sunset was BOLD because I used a bold yellow and dabbed orange on top to make it stand out.

Art piece name: Audocia breaking throughDescription: "Audacia" is a young woman who is breaking apart from a dark place in her life. In order to breakthrough she is being Bold and the colors in the painting represents the elements that forms boldness. Red represents courage and love, yellow represents happiness and positiveness, and lastly purple represents compassion and understanding.
The Bold Lady: This art piece that I have created is Bold. My art piece is bold because the lady symbolizes that she is free and fearless. The hat with the cross on it represents that God is her protection around the darkness. She is bold and free, she is not afraid of the darkness and the evil in the world. She is strong and does what she wants even if it seems impossible. She won't look back on her past, and she is moving on. That is what I saw when I was creating this piece. She is bold. Therefore, my art piece is bold.
My art piece is an eye with pink and blue dots inside of it, there are bubble figures coming out of the eye. The bubbles are yellow but also have different color designs. The bright colors and dark blue background express BOLDNESS by giving a mysterious feeling.
This expresses boldness by expressing what many people feel on a day to day basis. My drawing represents loneliness. My drawing is a singular tree surrounded and incaptified by mountains and hills. The single tree signifies a person who is alone, the hill and mountains show how the tree/person feels, bare and like there is no one around to help them.
Bold is used to refer to a style of art, it is used to refer to an artwork that has bold lines or designs drawn in a strong way. My artwork shows bold because of the bold bright neon colors of the paint that I used. The yellow paint that I used made the art piece pop out.
My art piece represents boldness because of the dark colors in the starry night sky as well as the dark mountains. Not only that, but it also has a deeper meaning into it of how it represents boldness. As some people may know, mountains typically represent many things. Such as taking risks, overcoming challenges, or making new changes to your life. These are the types of meanings my artwork piece represents.
Name: Little LionAcrylic on canvas
I painted a lion because it makes me think of Aug Prep...I am a Little Lion! (I had to be very patient to make this because of all the layers of color...it took three weekends!)
K5
THE ROAR - I used acrylic paint, shaving cream, gold glitter, sharpie and watercolor on a canvas. When I think of Aug Prep I always think of Africa and Lions because our mascot is the lion and lions are bold. I think lions are bold because when they hunt they hunt bigger prey and you need to be bold to do that.
The reasoning behind my art and why my art piece shows bold is because the cards are growing out of the canvas and also displaying bright colors mixed in with shades like white and black. It signifies the gamble of life and death that everybody faces every single day. Every second, minute, hour, day, month, or even years in our lives is a gamble, we can either choose to do right or wrong, choose good or evil. That is why the grim reaper appears in the middle of the canvas and why I also included golds and bright colored flowers. These colors show boldness because gold is something that signifies wealth as well as bring sophisticated, death to some may seem like something beautiful or be shed in a light that makes it seem good. The bright colored flowers are bold as well as they really stand out in the art piece and catch the attention of the audience showing how sometimes people only notice what is deemed good but don't notice what is bad and life threatening.
Medium- Pencil, colored pencilDedication- To my mother Description- The piece I made shows a sapling growing out in the open from a dead stump. This represents that boldness is something powerful and it can be expressed by anyone. It's the courage and growth a person must demonstrate to be bold.
BOLD: "(of a color or design) having a strong or vivid appearance)." This art piece represents boldness because...The art piece shows what is happening at the moment around the world. When you look at the art piece it shows the reality of our actions and the effects global warming has on earth. The materials I used to create the art piece are acrylic paints and watercolors and the techniques I used were Dabbing, Dry brush, layering, and blotting. The hard part of painting and watercoloring my art pieces was figuring out the color scheme.
Orange Coil Cup by Sergio Virgen
"Froggie" by Dayanara Torres-Rios
Red Purple Blue by Miguel A. Reyes
I used a sponge on watercolor paper to make this painting. I was inspired by the primary colors because there is no way you can combine other colors to make them. They are original. The phrase "Be Bold, Be Yourself" reflects the primary colors because everyone is their own person and nobody can be you, but you can always improve.
"Hopeful Presence" is an art piece made by digital media to illustrate my hopefulness for the future. The bold choice of colors depicts a story of transformation and hope. As both the young woman and butterfly coexist together to show that everything in life will be alright. That our fears are minuscule compared to what life has planned for us. Therefore, no matter what we are going through, art will always be a form of expression that gives us hope for the future.

I love to paint so I wanted to make a painting that I learned in art class with Mr. Montes. I used tape, watercolor and watercolor paper. I learned about cool colors and I wanted to use cool colors on my painting.
I think this shows boldness because it is hard to still bloom and show pride even though you might get cut down. Humans are like trees, we can't avoid struggles, but we can change the way we face them and still bloom and stand up. I used HB pencils and acrylic on paper.

"Bowser Shell" Creating this piece I incorporated bright colors in certain places to really emphasize the meaning of it. By doing so, I chose a vivid orange for the horns overlaying it with opaque whitee. Lastly, I had a base color of greens mixed with dark green underneath and 3 coats of chrome green. The reason I chose to make this piece was because it was a group decision, and classmates in my class were also going to create things related to Super Mario. This piece is only made from decoration and has no function or purpose but specifically made for those who love cartoons and video games as much as I do.
