The Mayor 's Arts Awards is an annual fundraising event that supports Phoenix Center for the Arts in its mission to provide arts and culture opportunities for all through education, programming, and advocacy. Funds raised at this event support hands-on opportunities in the community and at the Center for all ages to participate in the visual and performing arts with year-round arts classes and engagement programs.

Research has shown that participation in arts activities can help people with stress relief, depression, anxiety, improve memory, and has been shown to improve moods, overall confidence, and sense of self. Through classes, youth camps, artist residencies at schools, programs for individuals living with Alzeihmer 's, partnerships with veterans organizations, and free community events, the Center is committed to sharing the healing benefits of art for all to experience.

Phoenix Center for the Arts serves over 35,000 unique visitors annually and is the Valley's fastest growing arts organization. We employ artists, musicians, writers, students, and scholars to offer art classes, workshops, performances, and festivals. The Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and has been a community resource in the Valley for over 45 years.
