JOIN US FOR A SIP & SUPPORT!

Thursday, November 11

5 - 8 PM

Dorchester Brewing Company

On Thursday, November 11, Italian Home's Emerging Leaders will hold a Sip & Support at Dorchester Brewing Company.

Get excited! This Sip & Support is going to be a fun one, and through the efforts of this event, we aim to raise funds that are critical to our ability to continue helping children and families with emotional, behavioral, and educational challenges. It is because of the collective generosity of donors, like you, who help make our work possible.

We have the entire second floor and roof deck reserved at Dorchester Brewing Company for 130+ young professionals to network and enjoy the sights of the Downtown Boston skyline.

There will be an open bar for beer and wine, as well as light fare provided by M&M BBQ.

Dress is business casual or smart casual.

Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test results taken within 72 hours of the event will be required to enter the event.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where will the event be held?

The event will be held at Dorchester Brewing Company, located at 1250 Massachusetts Ave, Boston, MA 02125. We have the entire second level of Dorchester Brewing Company reserved for the event. This includes the indoor "Hopservatory" and the outdoor deck (weather permitting). When you enter DBCo, let them know you're there for the Italian Home event. They'll check your ID and give you a wristband. Walk straight ahead, and we'll have someone to greet you and check you in for the event. Then you can go upstairs and enjoy the open bar, food, and company!

Did you say open bar?

Yes! Your ticket to the event includes open bar and light fare from M&M BBQ. Dorchester Brewing Company has a selection of beers, ciders, seltzers, and wine that you can enjoy. We do ask that you enjoy responsibly and encourage you to take public transportation or an Uber/Lyft home.

What if I do drive and promise to drink responsibly. Is there parking?

Okay. We're trusting you! If you do choose to drive, there is plenty of parking on the street in front of the brewery. Or, if you prefer to not park on the street, there is a parking garage located at South Bay Shopping Center. It's free to park and a short 5 minute walk to the brewery. The lot located next to the brewery is owned by another business, and brewery patrons are asked not to park there.

Will I have to wear a mask at this event?

Our event will abide by all ordinances and mandates that the City of Boston has in place. At the time as we write the answers to the FAQs, Boston has an indoor mask mandate to prevent the spread of COVID-19. That means that while you are indoors, if you are seated and eating or drinking, you may have your mask off. If you are outside, you may have your mask off. If you are inside, standing, and not actively eating or drinking - you must be wearing a mask. Thank you in advance for helping us host this event while staying safe!

Do I need to be vaccinated to attend this event?

No. However, we will be asking everyone to show proof of either vaccination or provide a negative COVID test result from a test taken within 72 hours of the event. This is being done in an effort to ensure the safety of our guests.

Is my ticket to the event tax-deductible?

No. The fair market value of the ticket, which includes the open bar and food, equals $50. Because of that, there is no tax-deductible portion of the ticket. However, any donation you make while at the event will be tax-deductible!

When I make a donation to Italian Home for Children, what does it support?

The short answer? Your donation helps us provide care to youth and families. The longer answer is that we work with youth who have emotional, behavioral, and educational challenges. No two kiddos are the same. Some might need to move on campus with us to get the help they need. Others might be fine to stay in their home while working with a clinician to champion their challenges. We provide a spectrum of services that fit the needs of youth in the area. To help families receive these services, donations from folks, like you, are crucial.
