Susan Jackson, of Jackson Interiors, chose an armchair to transform for the New Life Furniture Bank auction.
The charming accent chair with wood and rattan arms and back was upgraded with both a new seat cushion and a printed back pillow.
The seat is upholstered in a textural, gray and white woven fabric. The back pillow is done in a luscious, printed gray, white & brown cotton fabric by Zoffany called Desert Flower, printed in the UK.
The fabric and color combination result in a sophisticated, casual "statement piece," sure to enhance any corner of your home.

Starting with two plain occasional chairs and reimagining them as a playful "Gossip Corner," Christine Kommer of DIGS, used vibrant colors and luxurious fabrics to bring her piece to life. Christine started by lacquering the pieces a bright raspberry pink. She then upholstered the seat cushions in a Lorca monochrome tree of life in a bright cassis and golden yellow silk with Samuel & Sons velvet piping for that added bit of splendor. The cocktail table received a Designers Guild crushed velvet upholstered topper in an abstract pattern with applied Jim Thompson golden bullion fringe - taking the piece to the next level. This vignette is full of joy and energy and is the perfect place to spill your champagne and your gossip!
Cocktails anyone? Aubrie Welsh Interiors has reimagined this charming bar cart, with some of their favorite elements and textures. Perfect for serving up cocktails, as a chic tea trolly, or to display your botanical treasures, this bar cart is an effortless addition to almost any interior!

Shedding a new light on things! Kenton Shaw Interior Design repurposed a Mid-Century Modern lamp with the help of artist, Sarah Jane Bellamy who created a Memory Vessel lamp by applying hundreds of collected objects in a jewel tone color scheme. This transformation was designed to create a standout piece of art for any home that would certainly stir up lots of great conversation and light up any room! A "hip" banded linen drum shade was added to the lamp, thanks to Palette Studios. One could spend hours gazing at this lamp and appreciating the whimsy of each and every applied piece, some even with moving parts. The perched birds at the top are especially fun! Definitely a ONE OF A KIND!

Who can resist a black framed chair with a caned back? Add a jewel toned fabric and it's a no-brainer. Inspired by the likes of Alfonso Marina and McGuire, there was no doubt on leaving the back caning exposed and selecting sherwin williams tricorn black in gloss for the chair frame . The fabric was then chosen as an intentional contrast and compliment to the frame. With overall warm tones complimenting and highlighting the caneing, the whimsical fabric pattern contrasts the more formal frame detailing. Rounding the seat cushion lends to the more casual overall feel of this chair.

Mirror Mirror on The Wall who's the most posh of us all? Alisa Culyer from Honor & Grace has taken a tired looking, dark wood, entry-hall piece and glammed it up with a classic navy. She has applied a gold-leaf finish around the framed mirror and then painted a gold leaf paint color for trim detail.
What started as a shabby chic table was transformed into an elegant table that would be happy in a guest bedroom, a study or an enclosed porch. Sanded and painted in a matte finish it has a quiet attitude while maintaining an elegant look with it's gold painted turnings and fluted legs.

Laney Reusch of Reusch Interior Design added a touch of whimsy to a traditional, vintage chair. Using a colorful F. Schumacher wallpaper, she decoupaged butterflies & flowers onto the natural wood chair frame and painted the seat caning a pearlescent lavender. The result? A playful pull up chair suited for a feminine lounge, office, or maybe even a lucky child's bedroom!
After a year at home adapting to a new way of living, Elizabeth became inspired to add a whimsical touch to some everyday, versatile pieces. Why not have some fun repurposing an old nightstand that seemed dark and dreary? Elizabeth decided to take on the project of injecting some life into this night stand with some fresh, crisp paint and stately new brass hardware. Adding a little piece of personality like a hand-made doughnut tassel can remind you to smile when you wake up in the morning.
She also helped brighten up a chair by applying a charming, bunny-inspired seat cushion. She felt that both of these pieces could be used in various rooms in your home, from a guest bedroom to a nursery!
