An Enchanted Autumn Evening

Regina Pacis Academy's Annual Fall Gala: An Enchanted Autumn Evening is our largest school fundraiser raising much-needed funds to support the growth of our school.  Families and new friends are invited to attend a wonderful evening with dinner, open bar, dancing, and an impressive silent auction.

This year, we will honor Sohrab Ahmari and Mary Pat Donoghue with the Saint John Henry Newman Award.

Sohrab Ahmari is the Opinion Editor for The New York Post, as well as a distinguished columnist, editor, author, and conservative intellectual.  He is best known for emigrating from Iran and converting to Catholicism, the story of which he chronicled in his last book, From Fire, By Water.  His latest book is entitled The Unbroken Thread: Discovering the Wisdom of Tradition in an Age of Chaos.  He writes often on the topics of the limits of classical liberalism, the need for a political conservatism geared toward the common good, and a hearkening back to tradition as a remedy for modern society's ills.  

Mary Pat Donoghue is currently the Executive Director of the Secretariat of Catholic Education with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).  Before this role, she is best known for transitioning St. Jerome's Academy, a declining diocesan Catholic elementary school in Hyattsville, MD, into a successful and thriving Catholic classical school. St. Jerome's remains the model to which young Catholic classical schools across the country aspire, and many employ the very curriculum that she introduced during her tenure as principal there.
