Originally an old cotton warehouse, the hotel was the first building project to be undertaken on the island. It was designed in 1968 by Oliver Messel, a leading British theatre stage designer, who had developed a reputation for the flamboyant and original houses he had designed on neighboring Barbados. It soon became a landmark destination in the Caribbean and the island community's social hub.

The hotel has been recently refurbished by the award winning Parisian architect Tristan Auer, undergoing a sympathetic restoration of Messel's style, maintaining the original features to conserve the hotel's charm and character. Set amongst thirteen expansive acres of tropical gardens leading down to Endeavour Bay, the Great Room Bar and Veranda Restaurant lie at the heart of the estate, surrounded by luxurious, garden and sea facing villas, suites and cottages with private verandas and plunge pools. Facilities include a central swimming pool and sundeck, and an organic Spa & Gym located in the gardens, a short walk from the beach. The shoreside Beach Cafe & Bar offers all day refreshments whilst the island's Watersports Centre offers a comprehensive range of activities for all ages.

Package: One week stay in a Garden Cottage for two adults, with full breakfast. Based on availability. Not available during Festive Season (Dec. 20-Jan. 5), Blues Festival (January 23-February 13), Easter Season (April 10-17), Summer Season (July 25-Aug. 20), Thanksgiving (Nov. 23-30). Expries November 2022. Present original voucher at time of reservation.
