We are foster parents (of humans), but have ALWAYS been dog parents. While waiting, what seemed like a VERY long time for a foster placement, we decided to add a bit more love to our home by rescuing a second pup to add to our home. We already had Tucker, our white border collie. He was 11 years old (and we had had him for 10 of those years), when we decided to expand our family by another four paws while we waited to expand it by two human feet. Enter Ripley. She was just four months old and had one of the sweetest faces we had ever seen. Because she was so gentle and sweet, we named her Ripley, after the main character in the Alien movie franchise. We thought a tough sounding name would make Ripley more confident. Haha! As she has grown over the past two years with us, so has her sweetness. She is the most gentle and loving dog we've ever met. Even from the time she was four months old, she was gentle in playing with old man Tucker, and followed his lead. And for the past year and a half she has been the loving protector and guardian of our foster baby that came to us in January 2021. Ripley is beautiful inside and out, and was the best weight to gain during quarantine.
