We will begin the night by sharpening our knife skills with fresh veggies, progress through various savory and sweet recipes and then end the night gathered around the table enjoying the fruits of your labor!

Chef K will walk you through a carefully crafted menu, teaching various techniques and skills that will leave attendees well on their way to becoming experts in the kitchen.

About Chef K:

Chef Kyia Faison, affectionately known as Chef K, is passionate about her faith, her family and her food! Chef K received her classical culinary training from Le Cordon Bleu.

Cooking for others fueled her passion but it was not enough! Chef K knew that she wanted to build a business centered around teaching the community to cook so she earned her MBA from the University of Louisville. She quickly founded Kitchen This, where 50% of all proceeds go to promoting food literacy and food security in our communities. Programming provides families with an opportunity to learn how to cook by hosting cooking and nutrition classes as well as grocery store tours. As a social enterprise, Kitchen This is committed to helping our communities become more confident in the kitchen and more comfortable in the marketplace.

Chef K is a proud former Food Network contestant and spends most of her time teaching the Nashville, TN community -including several country music stars- the ropes of their kitchen.
