I hoped to express something of our appreciation for their beautiful "conversational" music, constantly attentive to each other's interpretation of it as they contribute their own voice. It seems to me their performance is like doing a painting: they have a concept in mind, the written music, as the artist has his sketch to begin with, and we all have to accommodate inspirations as they evolve during execution.
