This beach house (14 miles south of Wilmington, around a 2.5-hour drive from Raleigh), fittingly named Oceanview, is just 100 yards from the great Atlantic Ocean, where your dog will enjoy long walks and plenty of smells.

For 3 days/2 nights between Oct. 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022 (when dogs are allowed on Kure Beach, leashed, or off-leash at Freeman Park's beach just the other side of the pier), you'll have your own private entrance to the first-floor apartment featuring a king-size bed, full bathroom, den/eating area with a TV, refrigerator, and microwave, as well as pet bowls and dog bed. (Want another beach option for your dog? Bring them, leashed, to Fort Fisher State Park!)

Upon entry, you'll be greeted by a bottle of wine and a package of treats--vacation starts NOW! When you're not on the beach, you can unwind under the shady water oaks in the backyard, which is fenced in for your doggo's safety. What's not to love?

Human tenants (up to 2 people) must be 25 or older; 1 dog allowed, or 2 dogs if they are each under 25 pounds. Dogs should be generally friendly, well-behaved, potty-trained, and on the quieter side so as not to be disruptive to the community.
