On November 7, 2021, I will set out to run 26.2 miles in my first NYC Marathon. I have chosen to run as a member of, and help to raise critical funds for, the BronxWorks Marathon Team.
BronxWorks helps individuals and families in the Bronx improve their economic and social well-being by feeding, sheltering, teaching, and supporting members of the community.
Now, more than ever, the citizens of the Bronx need your help: The Bronx is New York's poorest borough, and has been hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
BronxWorks, deemed an essential service during New York's PAUSE in 2020, continues to serve our community during this time of critical need. Budget cuts and reduced philanthropy resulting from the pandemic, however, jeopardize the strength of all nonprofits in New York City, including BronxWorks. All funds I raise will go to BronxWorks, helping to ensure that it can continue to serve and protect Bronx citizens this year and beyond.
This year my personal goal is to raise $2,500 for BronxWorks.
