ARTIST: DAN MARTIN
ARTIST: LAURA PORAKOVA - Thessalonika, named after the town in Southern Greece. I have a painting by the same name because of the colors of the Mediterranean sea. I submitted a photo of that painting, hence the inspiration for my butterfly.
The technique is an acrylic pour technique that uses a mixture of diluted mediums along with silicon. These combined mediums create "cells" that open up. The end product produces transparencies in the paint. I thought this method would be really appropriate and beautiful for a garden butterfly.
