FAQ's about EpiCon


Is Anyone able to join?

Yes, anyone is able to join us!  All convention attendees must be registered through the system.  To register, please head to the home page and click "Register Today".  As a note, EpiCon content is intended for adults, age 18 and up.


What is the Schedule?

What are travel accommodations?

The convention is hosted Friday, May 13 through Sunday, May 15th.  Please refer to the schedule to determine your own travel schedule.  All travel accommodations are planned and paid for by the convention attendee.


Is the location near a major airport?

Yes!  Nashville International Airport (BNA) is 8.3 miles away from the Resort. Estimated taxi fare is around $30, one way. 


What hotel accommodations are available?

How do I fundraise to attend and what is included?
We invite you to fundraise to attend EpiCon!  All fundraising must take place by March 31st to be included for the 2022 event.  Our levels offered can be seen here on the Fundraising Attendee FAQ.

 

What are ticket prices?

Tickets range in price, based on the date purchased.  The ticket fee schedule is:

  • Tickets purchased through 11:59pm on December 31st, 2021 - $200
  • January 1st, 2022 through 11:59pm on March 31st, 2022 - $250
  • April 1st, 2022 through 11:59pm on May 6th, 2022 - $350

Is the resort fee included in my guest room?

Yes, the daily $20 resort fee is included in the guest room rate. This rate includes in-room wireless internet access, Daily shuttle service to the Grand Ole Opry House, Opry Mills< General Jackson Showboat & The Inn at Opryland; Fitness Center Access, Bottled Water (2 daily) replenished once daily by housekeeping.

 

Is Parking available?

Yes, self-parking and valet parking is available at the Gaylord.  All guests are responsible for all parking expenses. 

 

Are there many restaurants nearby? 

Yes!  The Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Hotel has many offerings. Check out their list of dining options. 

 

What is the exhibit hall?

The exhibit hall is a place to meet, connect and explore.  Many different groups, companies and epilepsy supporters will be in attendance.  For more information, please visit this page.

 

What is included in my ticket?
Each ticket includes general registration to the convention, a welcome gift and reception, all sessions, access to the exhibit hall, along with breakfast and lunch on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday.

 

What food is provided?
Each convention attendee will receive breakfast and lunch Saturday along with breakfast Sunday. 

  

What is there to do in Nashville?

Nashville is home to a vibrant downtown that we encourage you to check out at your leisure.  In addition, the Gaylord Opryland Resort has plenty to discover including the Grand Ole Opry, a spa, SoundWaves - an indoor/outdoor water attraction, Opry Mills, General Jackson Showboat and more throughout the area.

What's included with my hotel room?

Each guest room includes several in-room amenities:

  • High-speed in-room wireless Internet access
  • Unlimited local and domestic long-distance calls

What is recommended to bring to EpiCon?

Comfortable walking shoes for the resort.

 

What are the COVID Protocols?

The Epilepsy Foundation of America highly recommends that all attendees are vaccinated.  We will follow all local and state guidelines for events and will follow compliance required by the Gaylord Opryland.
