Psychologists are now recognizing something artists have intuitively known-we think with our hands as much as our brains. Small creative gestures on a daily basis can help relieve stress and self doubt.

This workshop guides participants to channel artistic engagement in order to connect with self in a positive and nurturing way. You will taken through guided exercises and techniques to help you work intuitively. By tapping into imagery and symbols that are significant to you, you will build a creative narrative and create a piece of art that is unique to you and your journey. This course is suitable for all levels.

Thomas Lang, a native of Vienna/Austria, took up drumming at the early age of 5. In addition to lessons at local music schools and years of private tuition, Thomas was formally educated at the Vienna Conservatory of Music. After leaving Vienna for London/England in 1990, Thomas started working his way through the global music scene.

TAFT GARDENS - With maintained paths and seating areas, the 15 acres of curated gardens inspires visitors to learn about the majesty of nature and it's complexities. Hand painted botanical tiles mark the path through the South African and Australian Gardens. NATURE PRESERVE - Beyond the cultivated gardens and grounds, lies almost 200 acres of California Open Space protected by a Conservation Easement with the Wildlife Land Trust. The easement provides connectivity and safe passage for wildlife who live among the surrounding protected lands and prohibits agricultural uses that would add pollution to the watershed.

Frederick R. Weisman was an extraordinary entrepreneur, philanthropist, and art collector. In 1982, Frederick R. Weisman purchased the Los Angeles estate to serve as a showcase for his personal collection of 20th-century art. He and his wife Billie Milam Weisman, an art conservator and curator, worked together to create a unique environment located within the Mediterranean-style villa. Today the Foundation estate, annex, and surrounding gardens is made accessible to the public by appointment only on guided tours. More than four hundred works of art are on display at the Foundation.
