When he's not sleeping or creating absolute chaos in his living space, he's a pretty cool guy to hang with, and YOU could be his next BFF! Zoo keepers spend time studying animals so they can give them the best life possible here at the Zoo - and that includes preserving, encouraging, and challenging their natural animal instincts. Enrichment is a way that we give animals the opportunity to express natural behaviors. Join our Education team for an animal enrichment "craft session" here at the Zoo, and make your very own enrichment items for our animals to playfully destroy! You'll also learn all about enrichment from the Education staff, and you'll get to see firsthand some of your creations enjoyed by our animals!
Handmade enrichment examples include: bird toys, paper mache eggs, box "birthday cakes," and much more!
