49th Annual Youth for Community Engagement
Volunteer Recognition Ceremony
In past years, CYC has gathered the community together with an annual luncheon to celebrate and recognize the youth in our program and their many accomplishments. This year, due to the pandemic, the celebration will be held virtually on Friday, July 23 at 6pm. The stream will be available right here on the event page below.
Youth for Community Engagement (YCE) helps new immigrant youth adapt to their new country - promoting self-development, positive attitudes, and greater communication skills - while offering numerous opportunities for youth to volunteer in the community, connect with elders, and each other. The program was founded in 1972 in response to the large number of Chinese immigrants arriving in San Francisco. YCE started with a small team of 30 youth from one high school and, over the last five decades, has expanded to a membership of about 400 students from 10 San Francisco public high schools across the city
YCE is in its 49th year and can't exist without support from generous donors to keep the program going. We invite you to sponsor or donate to the event. Below are the ways in which you can help make a difference.

Individual Donor - $50 and up
- For every $50 donated, youth volunteers will contribute two hours of community service
