From the Crocker Art Gallery to Your Home - Taking my Power Back by Lisa Elias
Incredible, one-of-a-kind custom mixed media art piece artwork by local Sacramento artist and Habitat staff member Lisa Elias. This piece was featured at the Crocker art gallery for two months during a showcase of local artists.
From the artist:
"Throughout my life I have been guided by intuition, dreams, and love. Going where I'm called to. Celebrating abstractly the reality experienced. Knowing my purpose is bigger than just me. Knowing and holding onto love. Letting go is one in the same. My strength is my independence and freedom. I am bold enough to walk the undesired path. The owning of my truth no longer means suffering. With the bravery to live and love still in a world that tells us repeatedly to be scared and hateful. Be quiet, be small, and live conservatively. Well I tell you? I will not. I will bravely and open heartedly push through the discomfort of who I am and have been. For who I am becoming, for the betterment of my bloodline, and those to come. Taking my power back is a gift to others. My gift to you."
