Children supported by our partners in Zambia, Nicaragua, Mexico & Chicago are receiving high-quality educational support. The educators at each program are deeply invested in their student's futures and are committed to propelling these future leaders toward educational excellence. Each extra year of education increases the potential earnings of that student's future household, and it empowers them to lift themselves out of poverty. Your gift of $10,000 can provide education & support for up to 100 students for a year.

With Spark's support since 2009, 100% of Hope School's 7th graders have graduated and gone on to some of the best high schools in their community. $5,000 can provide 20 students with a high school scholarship and support for a year to help them receive a quality education, pursue their dreams, and end the cycle of poverty.

Nicaragua is the poorest country in Central America and the second poorest in the Western Hemisphere, with staggering unemployment levels and 30% of its population living in poverty. Las Tias' microloan program provides life-changing economic support with low-interest loans to empower women entrepreneurs.

A gift of $2,500 can support more than 80 women entrepreneurs each month at Las Tias.

At Entreamigos in Mexico, Spark provides funding for the Jungle Group, which provides support for at-risk youth with limited resources. Children receive educational & social-emotional support - building confidence & skills that help prevent dropout rates, ensure a love of learning, and change the trajectory of their lives.

Your $1,000 donation ensures that four children can participate in this program each year which will help them find success in and out of the classroom.

The pandemic created significant barriers to receiving an education for children living in vulnerable communities around the world. Children in Chicago's south side neighborhood of Englewood are no exception. Spark's support of the Born to Thrive tutoring program, summer camp, and most recently a beautiful computer lab made possible by amazing individuals in the Spark community are all helping to provide educational & social emotional support for I Grow Chicago's community.

With a donation of just $500, you can help students get back on track by providing one month of educational and social-emotional support to help close the educational gap in Chicago.

Your $250 donation can provide malaria testing and treatment for 25 children.

In 2015, over 400,000 individuals died of malaria and 212 million new cases were documented. About 90% of malaria-related deaths occur in Sub-Saharan Africa. But, early diagnosis and treatment of malaria reduces disease and prevents deaths. It also contributes to reducing malaria transmission.

In 2009, 75% of the students attending Hope Community School tested positive for malaria. Since then, with Spark's support of a biannual clinic focusing on health maintenance and malaria testing, the malaria rate has decreased to only 5% of students testing positive. Help us maintain this staggering reduction in malaria rates. Please donate $250.

For the students Spark Ventures supports, hunger is among one of the many obstacles to getting a good education. Students who are too hungry to pay attention in school often drop out, losing one of their best chances to break the cycle of poverty.

In Zambia, the new vegetable farm has helped provide 450 children with nutritious meals each school day. These meals ensure that no student misses out on an education because of an empty stomach.
