This limited edition archival giclee of Johnny Cash, created by Rob Prior, is the perfect piece for any room. Copy 1 of 5.
From the artist: We all have a little rebel in us and Johnny Cash has inspired mine, since I was knee high. From the first time my Mom played that boom-chuck rhythm guitar, calling me to go wherever my own beat took me, I was hooked. Painting "The Man In Black" to the bittersweet bass of his greatest hits, gave me refuge from the greyscale world of COVID lockdown. I fought back in the way that Cash's music always taught me, by going my own way, using color and contrast as a tribute to Cash's wild and complicated character. As the great man himself once said, "Until things are brighter... I'm the man in black." - Johnny Cash.

Taupin's artwork evolved from Ab-Ex explorations to a level of self identification followed by experimentations with text-based content and minimalist Pop Art concepts. By 2016 and 2017, works became sculptural constructions off and through the canvas and bound with cord and wire. Expressing with found objects and repurposed material and artifacts, Taupin's multi-layered creations include manipulated flags, scorched paper, wax, wire, wood, corrugated cardboard, fabric, bubble wrap, and resin.
