Lowcountry South Carolina Red Cross Board Chair Gary Baldwin knows that after a home fire, 40 percent of the American public cannot cover an expense of $400 or more. He also knows that the Red Cross spends an average of $1250 per family, helping home fire victims get on the road to recovery. That's why Gary contributed $15,000 to the Red Cross of South Carolina's Hometown Hero campaign-to put cash in the hands of 12 families impacted by a home fire.
