About the Patrick F. Taylor Hope Lodge
The American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge program provides a free home away from home for cancer patients and their caregivers. More than just a roof over their heads, it is a nurturing community that helps patients access the care they need. The Hope Lodge offers a supportive, home-like environment where guests can share a meal, join in the evening's activities, or unwind in their own private room. The Patrick F. Taylor Hope Lodge in New Orleans opened in 2006 and offers 34 guest rooms located near cancer treatment centers in the area. The facility features outdoor, reflection, and meditation spaces, a library, laundry rooms, and other gathering spaces for guests to use at their leisure. As recovery from the COVID-19 health crisis begins, the Lodge needs additional operating funds in order to safely reopen its doors and serve cancer patients in the months and years to come. The proceeds from the New Orleans Honoree Ball will be used to support the safe reopening of the Hope Lodge in Orleans, on River Road.
