Desai COVID Relief

We are heartbroken by the current situation in India, which we have been following closely. We are working with our team, organizations on the ground and larger institutions to implement what is needed locally on the ground. We are also ramping up for the support that will be needed in the future. We are working hard to support the 1,000 rural communities we serve in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh & Rajasthan. We have identified the ways for the Desai Foundation to be of most service immediately, and for what will be needed in the future. Outlined below is our focus.

All donations made to the Desai Foundation for our efforts on the ground for COVID relief will be matched 100%.

OUR APPROACH:

COVID ISOLATION & CARE CENTERS - We have isolation and relief centers open with beds, food, medical supplies, rapid testing, sanitary napkins, medical screenings, and comfort for isolation and pre critical stage patients.

HELP DESK & TELEMEDICINE - For families to access available support after a loved one has passed for food, aid, etc. And to ask medical advice, get answers to critical questions, and encourage testing, vaccines, and isolation.

COVID RAPID TESTS - We have 149,000 Abbott Rapids tests landing shortly that will be used in the COVID care centers/hospitals, and by our volunteers working with local villages and soon at home.

SUPPLIES & EQUIPMENT - We are distributing tens of thousands of covid kits (thermometers, sanitizer, oximeter, PPE kits, and vitamins), food kits and sanitary napkins, BiPaps, Oxygen concentrators, and ventilators are on the way.
