Buy Menduru lunch!
Menderu was born at the San Diego Zoo in 2008 and came to live at the Charles Paddock Zoo in 2009 following a recommendation from AZA's Malayan Tiger SSP (Species Survival Plan). Menderu is an active cat who enjoys exploring his habitat and playing with some of his favorite enrichment items, such as an extra large "boomer ball". Like most cats, though, he can sleep for many hours of the day and can frequently be seen snoozing with his belly up!

Buy lunch for the flamingos!
The flock currently has 33 individuals. Every year, around April, these birds start exhibiting breeding behaviors and you may watch them build nests, care for eggs and raise babies - all on exhibit.
Buy lunch for Buddy, Banack, and Tyrone
These three brothers (born in 2004) arrived to Charles Paddock Zoo in 2010 from the Cincinnati Zoo. They are very active lemurs and are known by the zookeepers for their picky personalities when it comes to food. They will often sit by their food bowl carefully choosing what to eat first and leaving the least favorite items for last. Although they are starting to show signs of age, these boys are very agile and will jump around their habitat quite often.
Buy lunch for the Tortoises
Charles Paddock Zoo currently houses 2 adult pairs of Radiated Tortoises and 2 juvenile individuals. Due to the critically endangered status of this species, we currently maintain only one pair on display as it is crucial to the propagation of the species to keep pairs separated in order to maintain genetic viability.
Buy lunch for Estrella & Hobbes
This cute pair of porcupines has been together since 2010 here at Charles Paddock Zoo. Although their favorite day time activity is to sleep in their cozy, dark cave, you may see them out and about anytime a zookeeper is around - especially if it's feeding time.
