40th Birthday Event Program

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the event will take place outdoors in the fenced-in areas and parking lot in front of the Downtown Children's Museum. Tent coverage will be provided. We also ask that all vendors and guests wear a face mask when not eating or drinking at the event.

Vaccination or a negative COVID test (within 72 hours) are required of all guests.

Join us for an outdoor celebration at the Children's Museum of Richmond's Broad Street location on Friday, September 10 from 7 PM to 11 PM as we celebrate the last four decades of play! Our 40th Birthday Celebration will take us on a trip down memory lane through the Museum's 40-year legacy. Guests will enjoy live entertainment, raffles, games, delicious food, adult beverages, and more!

Proceeds from the event will support our nonprofit mission to inspire growth in all children by engaging families in learning through play.

• Attire: Cocktail with no jacket or tie required. Please keep an eye on the weather for September 10 and plan to dress accordingly.
• Using an Uber, Lyft, or other rideshare service is encouraged, but valet parking will be available when you pull up to the Downtown Museum (2626 W. Broad Street) off Terminal Pl.
• The Children's Museum lobby bathrooms will be open for guests to use during the event. The rest of the Museum floor will not be accessible.
• Bidding on select auction items, participating in raffles and games, and other fundraising activities will take place through the GiveSmart mobile platform. Volunteers with iPads will be circulating the event, but we encourage you to bring your cell phone to enjoy the full experience.
• Guests will also enjoy live music from the band Krewe, heavy hors d'oeuvres and a specialty cocktail from Lunch.Supper, cocktails from Cirrus Vodka, a selection of beer and wine (featuring delicious brews from Center of the Universe), and historical highlights from the last 40 years of play at CMoR!

We are looking for 125 people to donate $40! Your donation will be matched by Four G's Charitable Trust to raise $10,000 for the Children's Museum of Richmond. Donate today and make your donation go twice as far!
