California

2014 Paul Hobbs Cab Sauv, Napa

  • Dark crimson in color, the nose is perfumed with luxuriant aromas of red currant, boysenberry, cedar box, and Herbes de Provence.

2014 Ramey Cab Sauv, Napa

  • 2014 was another classic vintage. A mild winter and spring caused an early bud break followed by consistent temperatures throughout the summer, promoting even ripening.

2016 L'Aventure The Sibling

  • 94 by Jeb Dunnuck: Plums, blueberries, incense and ample peppery spice all give way to a full-bodied, nicely concentrated 2016 that has a terrific sense of elegance.

2014 Sean Thackrey "Orion" Rossi Vineyard Syrah Blend

  • This wine is intriguing and unique, evoking fresh dough, plum and blackberry cobbler, the texture thick, soft and spicy. Drinkable now, best 2025 - 2028. 93 - 95pts.

2002 Cain Five Magnum

  • The 2002 Cain Five is very round, smooth, and full-bodied. The first notes are of mocha and vanilla. A very pure cassis is hiding in the background (which bodes well), and the full, sweet entry fills out to a satisfying mid-palate, leading to a smooth finish.

Washington

2014 Leonetti Merlot Walla Walla Valley

  • 93 by RP "Perfectly ripe notes of black currants, lead pencil shavings, charred earth and chocolate. Full-bodies and possessing a wealth of fruit."

2004 Long Shadows "The Feather" Columbia Valley, Cab Sauv

  • 91 by WA. Dense in texture, but not heavy, with bright red cherry, pomegranate and plum flavors. Has freshness and grace.

Italy

2011 Bovio Barolo Arborina

  • 95 by JS. Winery Tasting Notes: Ruby with brick-red highlights. Fresh on the nose, with hints of nuts and vanilla. A soft palate, with long and elegant sweet tannins.

10 Vendemmie, Tenuta Ulise, Vino Rosso

  • 99 by Luca Maroni: The nose is complex, with dark blackberries and red plums combining with spicy mesquite and crushed tobacco for a profound and enchanting introduction to the wine.

Contadi Castaldi Brut, Franciacorta

  • The nose is fresh, with floral notes of linden, citrus nuances, white peach and green pepper. The mouth is tight and crisp, fresh and vertical, sapid, refined and with a lingering, very enjoyable finish.

Contadi Castaldi Rose, Franciacorta

  • The nose features distinct notes of wild berries, fresh rose petals, hints of apple and tropical fruit. The mouth is structured, crisp and lively, sapid and sensually rythmical.

2015 Supremus Toscana Indicazione Georgrafic Tipica

  • A harmonious blend that represents the best of Tuscany and Bordeaux. DARK! Powerful! Downright sexy. HUGE, soaring, mouth-filling fruit pops from the glass here.

2016 Petra Potenti Toscana

  • The fully saturated, brilliant ruby red color introduces a variegated aromatic palette, with notes and hints of blackberry and blueberry jam, black cherry and spices, coffee and balsamic oils.

2015 Terrabianca Campaccio Toscana Indicazione

  • Deep ruby color; bouquet of brushwood and berry fruit, cocoa, toasted almonds and leather; structure, concentration and freshness are perfectly balanced on the palate.

2018 Vermentino di Gallura Jankara

  • Mineral salty notes on the nose with extremely rich, intense aromas of white flowers and almonds with a hint of tropical notes to arouse the senses.
