Complete your high-end wine collection with the perfect addition - 2000 Chateau Lafite Rothschild Pauillac!

Nestled within the Bordeaux region, the Chateau Lafite Rothschild wine estate was first established in the early 1700's. Since its creation, the estate has become famous for producing some of the world's greatest wines. The estate achieved wide popularity in the 1750s, when it became the favorite of King Louis XV. Thomas Jefferson was also a steadfast customer and even visited the estate.

Christie's auction house describes the estate's enduring popularity with collectors due to its ability to stand the tests of both time and taste. "Within the five rarefied first growths, Lafite has always held a particular allure. It is perhaps the wine with the best reputation for quality and longevity, commanding correspondingly high prices. It is considered by some to be the best wine to come out of Bordeaux? desirable as a wine to cellar, and also a wine to sip tonight."

"The nose is fresh, bright, and dense. With aromas of violets, minerals, spices, cool stones, mint, dark fruits, and plum skins, this is beautiful? Finesse and elegance, truly a wine that makes you contemplate life. This is not about power, there is really nothing like it. 93% Cabernet Sauvignon." - 100 points James Suckling 2011
