Very light-tolerant â?" can probably be placed anywhere in your house with at least some indirect sunlight! Will grow fastest near a window. Place on a high surface if possible so that its fronds can drape downwards.
Water once every week. Keep soil moist.
Commonly called spider plant, this little guy should grow really quickly and prove almost impossible to kill! Spider plants are great beginner plants because they are impossible to over-water and reproduce quickly, shooting off long stems with new growths on the end that can be placed directly in water or most soil to take root. This plant is a great-grandchild of a spider plant Iâ??ve had for ages â?" its progeny are spread around friendsâ?? houses throughout the Seattle area. They make great gifts! Because they like moisture, these can do great in bathrooms. I have a few on bookshelves as well, where their long fronds look great draping downwards. On rare occasion, they also produce spindly white flowers.
