Gittings Family Renaissance Portraits begin with a carefully crafted print made to exacting specifications. The finest state-of-the-art materials are aesthetically embellished by skilled artisans and craftsmen. The final treatment permanently bonds the portrait to a fine canvas. A crystal clear lacquer is applied to protect the portrait and to enhance the depth of color.

Delivery of the final portraits is not the end of the process for Gittings. Gittings archive each final image they capture. Their clients know that, in the event of theft or other catastrophic loss, the documentation of their family's history is not lost with it. It is safe and secure, with multiple back up alternatives, by Gittings. Gittings is pleased to say they have replaced destroyed portraits, restored faded 60-year-old images, and have brought black and white images to color.

The centralized theme was revolved around the use of primary colors. The red striated pattern is meant to represent the Zebras swift motion to escape violence. The yellow nose, upright ears, and highlighted hair-like projections embody its own happiness. Lastly, the blue background gives poise and illumination; a cool night sky when all is calm and serene. For this piece I recreated Johannes Vermeer's "Girl with a Pearl Earring," but in the style of Pablo Picasso's blue period. I wanted to combine two master works into one painting as my own rendition. Gouache on paper.

I reached out for inspiration from two of my favorite muses: Vincent Van Gogh and The Beatles. This artwork takes heavy motifs from the song, "I Want You" on the displayed Abbey Road album. The sky carries the same pace and rhythm as the song. Gouache on paper.

Even though the night sky appears dark, our universe is populated by myriads of bright galaxies. So no matter how damaging or dark something may appear, we must shift our perception away from negativity, bias, and/or unrealistic ideologies. We must focus more on universal values of peace, happiness and fulfillment; just as divine superheroes are emerging even in the darkest light.
