Amanda is one of two winners of this year's ArtsGala Art competition and chosen by the ArtsGala host committee to be featured at this year's event. She is a double major in graphic design and fine arts with a printmaking focus. She expects to graduate in Spring 2024 and hopes to find a job in the design field here in Dayton.

This piece, called Sky Lights, is a silkscreen print of the CAC sky lights done as part of a class taken at WSU in 2021. "We were to take a space and simplify or abstract it. I prefer to simplify so I broke the space down to its basic shapes and colors. I even tried to get the frost on the windows across by not fully filling the window in with color. I hadn't drawn the skylights in the CAC until then and most of my classes were remote at that time, which meant I didn't go out much. They felt comforting to work on in a very stressful time".

Alyssa was the winner of an ArtsGala scholarship and her colorful print was one of two chosen by the ArtsGala host committee to be featured at this year's event. She is a BFA student, with a split concentration in painting and printmaking. She will be graduating this semester, Spring 2022, and plans on getting her teaching license to become an art teacher.

This piece, called The Party, is a part of a mono-print series she created using found and made materials. Each layer of color is a different arrangement of torn paper, paper cut with an X-Acto knife, fake flowers, lace doilies, cupcake liners, and sushi paper layered in the screen print process.

This beautiful work, Sedona Nights, is by Mike Elsass, whose work has been highlighted in Dayton's Oregon District.

Fueled by the energy of color, Mike is one of the most prolific artists of his time, creating small- and large-scale works that appeal to a variety of aesthetic tastes.
