We are raising money to build a beautiful Maternity and Pediatric Hospital in Tambacounda in Senegal, supporting women, children, and families at some of the most critical moments of their lives.

The auction is open until midnight on the 31st of March. The remarkable items include original artworks and world-class culinary experiences.

All proceeds go to Le Korsa, the non-profit organization funding the hospital buildings.

The Josef and Anni Albers Foundation is releasing, for the first time, a limited reproduction of Josef Albers's glass work 'City'. Josef Albers transformed his original design of 'City' into the large-scale mural 'Manhattan,' first installed in New York City's MetLife Building, originally the Pan Am building. Removed in 2001 during renovations of the building's lobby, the mural was rebuilt in 2019 according to Albers's original specifications. You now have a chance to own a reproduction of the original small-scale version, 'City,' and to experience the wonder of Josef Albers's traditional glass techniques.

"Abts is best known for abstract paintings but she also produces large and small format drawings. The small drawings are made very quickly and spontaneously without preconception, with any available material, and collage elements may come into play. Graphite and color pencil, fine liner, felt-tip and ballpoint pen, and watercolor are her primary materials for drawing. Sometimes, she introduces collage elements. Here, there is some affinity for an aspect of illusionism that we see in her paintings, where shading and an articulation of forms give the appearance of sculptural relief, cut-outs, shadows cast, overlays, and raised planes within pictorial space. Even so, none of the works on paper that incorporate collaged elements corresponds to any particular painting."

Hommage au carré is a reproduction of 6 works on silk published in 200 copies each.

This limited edition edition of works of art on silk, of six of the hundreds that Josef Albers produced as part of one of the finest abstract painting endeavors of the twentieth century, is called Les Hommages au Carré.

Albers' principle is simple: on an immutable form (a square and its composition), infinitely multiply the chromatic variations while strictly respecting this form. Editing these six silk squares after Albers led Hermès to the limits of its own know-how: "frame printing", but above all, to this so-called "edge to edge" feat, when large masses of color touch each other without overlapping, and without the usual setting that "closes" the color.

This first edition is the beginning of a dream: that of forming links, of creating bridges, between the manufacturing world and the artistic world. 4

Joël Blanc Lithograph of Roland Garros

Joël Blanc is a French painter and sculptor born in 1946 in Toulon. He studied at the School of Fine Arts and then at the Julian Academy of Paris. It was during this period that he met artists George Mathieu and Gen Paul, who encouraged him to develop his creativity in the moment, movement, and rapidity of execution.

Spontaneity became then the master word of the artist's work. In his sculptures as well as in his drawings, movement is omnipresent. During the 70s, numerous trips and exhibitions in other countries allowed the painter to refine and develop his technique, particularly in direct watercolor drawing. The following decade, marked the discovery of his major source of inspiration, the equestrian world, which he discovered during his patient study of classical painters like Rubens, David or Géricault. The anatomy, power, and rapidity of the horses become predominant in the artist's pieces, and are represented in the form of watercolors, a series of bronze or oil paintings. Faithful to his approach of snapshots, we find the artist on the racetracks of some of the most prestigious trophies, as well as in numerous other sportive encounters, where his drawings have been acclaimed by the media.

Joel Blanc's work has been the object of multiples exhibitions, sales, auctions, tv shows and articles in the press. He has also exhibited successively at the Golf Hotel, at the Barriere Casino and at the Royal Hotel Deauville, at the Majestic and the Martinez in Cannes, and during the International Film Festival, in Palm Beach with a collection of pieces paying tribute to the seventh art.
