Van Gogh Starry Night idea from an RE Factor poster. I added an actual 20mm HEDP cartridge casing from an actual Apache Helicopter (that is in the painting) various caliber cartridges make of the stars center. The right side of the tree is on fire.

Rebecca Taylor was born in Parkersburg, WV. The eldest child in a military family and she lived in a number of states, Japan and Germany. The architecture, landscapes and art museums captured her imagination. She began sketching and took one year of art in high school.
Guided by an artistic nature, and a love of color, historical buildings, landscapes and animals, Rebecca finds a plethora of subjects to paint in Colorado. Painting brings her joy and happiness.

Darrel Walker is a self taught artist who, at the age of fifty, learned and perfected his craft during the 20 years he spent in Colorado Department of Corrections. During this time Mr. Walker developed a passion not only for his art, but for Veterans issues as well. As a founding member of the first Veteran Unit in Colorado DOC Darrel became aware of the many problems and issues facing our Veterans and continued his Veteran work through Mt. Carmel Veteran Center upon his release. Darrel is a Vietnam combat Army Veteran himself and is committed to helping Veterans through his art sales and Veteran fund raisers such as this Veteran Benefit.
Darrel has been awarded by the WAOA for his watercolors and is on the Pennsylvania State Register as a State Historical Artist for his watercolors of Warren, PA

Nika Nicely is a Colorado Springs based artist and musician. She retired from the Army in 2018 after 24 years of service. She is inspired by beautiful photographs her wife took while living overseas. Nika paints with acrylics and watercolor and started painting in 2020

Denise is the daughter of an Army veteran. She discovered the healing power of art through Mt. Carmel's Art Expressions class and Kim Griffis. Denise has used photography and painting to emerge from the dark world of grief and depression. The journey continues.
