Jay's Fundraiser for Hands On Atlanta
$6000
GOAL

Hi friends,

You know, over the last year, I've had a front row seat to the pandemic. I've seen food insecurity, extreme education challenges and racial inequity soar.

I've seen the needs in the community skyrocket, but I've also been witness to the surge in the number of people willing to help. I've been inspired by our volunteers distributing food to families in need, tutoring kids struggling with virtual school, writing letters to healthcare workers, and so much more. Atlantans have found it impossible to sit on the sidelines! Volunteering and service are as synonymous with Atlanta as OutKast and sweet tea.

As we start to clean up the devastation caused by this last year, one thing is already clear. Atlanta needs people to roll up their sleeves and get to work. 50% of the work done by nonprofits has traditionally been done by volunteers. As you can imagine, COVID disrupted that, which disproportionally hurt those already struggling in our community. So, if you have been wanting to help, now is the time.

There are a lot of ways you can help, but I hope you'll consider making a donation, so that Hands On Atlanta can continue creating, supporting and sharing easy and fun ways for people to volunteer. Since our founding in 1989, Hands On Atlanta has mobilized millions of people to tackle our city's most pressing needs. A donation from you will help us continue this essential work.

Thank you,

Jay
