The Hometown Foundation recognizes February as our Police K-9 Awareness Month!
All month long, we actively raises funds for our Police K-9 Awareness Program. Most Police K-9 Units are not funded by their local or state municipalities and rely heavily on private donations. Police K-9s are used for finding missing persons, detecting narcotics or accelerants, criminal apprehension, handler protection and used as a community policing tool. Our Police K-9 Program allows us to donate fully equipped Police K-9s to police departments across the country to relieve the financial burden placed upon them, connect them to their community, and make their towns and cities more safe.
