Over the last year, Apollo lost critical funds-and precious time together. But we gained a renewed appreciation for the strength and resolve of our Apollo community and for the fierce love of music that has kept us connected to one another. With hope on the horizon, we ask our friends, family and community members to help Apollo prepare for our historic 150th season.

Apollo Chorus is the City of Chicago's oldest volunteer musical organization, rising in 1872 from the ashes of the Great Chicago Fire. Performing masterworks of the choral repertoire, as well as new music from contemporary composers, Apollo is renowned in the local arts scene for its stunning annual performances of Handel's Messiah. Under the leadership of Music Director and Conductor Stephen Alltop, its 120+ auditioned members include people of all ages, genders, races, creeds, and occupations brought together by their love of singing.
