Rick is the founder, director, and creative designer for Paramount Winterguard in Atlanta, GA. He is also the Artistic Coordinator for Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps, from Fort Mill, SC. As an active pageantry designer, in all seasons and for all levels and classes of competition, Rick is constantly learning and sharing new and proven processes for creating competitive and artistic designs. In addition to his design roles, Rick is an active adjudicator, clinician, and consultant.

With over 20 years of marching band, drum corps, and winterguard experience, Rick is constantly inspired by the creative process in all facets of design, researching, and working with eager and talented creative teams. He is most inspired by student performers and their willingness to be authentic, present, and fully involved in the creative process.

Through artistic ventures and the sharing of life experiences, Rick lives in Atlanta, GA, and is honored to continue growing, learning, teaching, and sharing his passion of design and performance with many others around the world.
