Dawn Whalley's work has been described as enchanting and escapist, her quirky style influenced by dreams and childhood images.

Working with oils on canvas, traditional nursery-room images are given a modern treatment with thick, bold strokes of intense and dense colour.

Her background in sculpture feeds into her 2D work, with heavily textured paintwork and over sized figures domineering the canvas.

Whalley comes from Belfast and co-owns the Whalley Gallery in Holywood with her husband Stephen.

The museum's Main Building features three floors of exhibition space, and the campus includes a Tall Sculpture Barn and Wildflower Garden, along with large exhibition and event spaces in the Jim Rouse Visionary Center.

This portfolio of etchings by Isabel Bishop was published by the Sylvan Cole Gallery and Midtown Galleries, New York, NY, in 1989. There are eight etchings by Bishop dating from 1927 to 1934. For this portfolio they were printed in editions of 50 in 1989. The early impressions of these subjects are scarce. There is a signature stamp on all the impressions.

Isabel Bishop (1902-1988) was part of the 'Fourteenth Street School.' These were figurative artists with studios on Union Square; they were also associated with the Art Students League, New York City. Other members of the group were Minna Citron, Edward Laning, Reginald Marsh, and

the Soyer brothers.""
