This portfolio of etchings by Isabel Bishop was published by the Sylvan Cole Gallery and Midtown Galleries, New York, NY, in 1989. There are eight etchings by Bishop dating from 1927 to 1934. For this portfolio they were printed in editions of 50 in 1989. The early impressions of these subjects are scarce. There is a signature stamp on all the impressions.

Isabel Bishop (1902-1988) was part of the 'Fourteenth Street School.' These were figurative artists with studios on Union Square; they were also associated with the Art Students League, New York City. Other members of the group were Minna Citron, Edward Laning, Reginald Marsh, and

the Soyer brothers.""
