Voyageurs Wolf Howl Experience
$1600Join the Voyageurs Wolf Project team on a wolf howling survey in the Greater Voyageurs Ecosystem! This trip will give you a behind-the-scenes view of what studying wolves in the Greater Voyageurs Ecosystem is like.
On this experience, you'll join researcher Tom Gable to conduct a wolf howl survey, a common way to study wolves in summer. You will embark in the evening (around 7/8 pm) and survey packs via howling. You will help discover where wolf packs are located and learn whether their pups are alive and active.
Details & Requirements: The wolf howl survey can accommodate up to 4 individuals. Please note individuals must be able to walk 3-4 miles during the evening. Experience must be redeemed in Summer 2022

About the Voyageurs Wolf Project: The Voyageurs Wolf Project is a University of Minnesota research project that was started to address one of the biggest knowledge gaps in wolf ecology-what do wolves do during the summer? The Voyageurs Wolf Project seeks to understand the predation behavior and reproductive ecology wolves during the summer.
The Voyageurs Wolf Project is recognized world-wide for its groundbreaking discoveries in wolf ecology. The Voyageurs Conservancy is proud to support the Wolf Project's research.
