About the Artist:

Anika Hager uses watercolors to hand-paint the base of the map, then use a fine-line black pen to overlay the topography. Because these maps are made by hand, it is unique in its own beautiful way.

Her art is inspired by the outdoors and she's driven to use it as a tool for advocacy. Anika uses sustainably sourced materials and donates a portion of her proceeds to climate protection.

Anthony Brandenburg is the son of Jim Brandenburg, a world-known National Geographic photographer from Minnesota. Anthony is a talented photographer in his own right, with his work reflecting his deep appreciation of nature and the outdoors, and love for the North Woods of Minnesota. He was 11 years old when his Africa travel photography was first published in National Geographic World magazine. Anthony currently works with the Brandenburg Prairie Foundation and is a fine art darkroom printer.

The Clouds image was taken while canoeing with his son in northern Minnesota.

Our time houseboat camping in Voyageurs National Park was nearing the end. We had spent dazzling days collecting wild blueberries, watching eagles soar across the sky, and lazily floating on tubes in the lake. Evenings were spent around a campfire making s'mores, reading Greek mythology, and stargazing. Before we crawled into our bunks for the night, I ran out for one last glimpse of the stars. The sun that had shone over our lovely day seemed reluctant to pass guard over to the twinkling stars and blazing comet as if like me, it couldn't bear to see the day end.

This fine art giclee print is expertly printed on-demand in California on archival UV resistant Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper-painstakingly chosen for its heirloom quality, velvety matte finish, and stunning pictorial depth and detail.

Each limited edition print is personally signed and numbered by Allison Charnin, and arrives with a certificate of authenticity to protect its integrity. This will be the first of just 5 prints made for sale of this image.
