Skin-on Greenland Sea Kayak
$675Win a beautiful, historic sea kayak for your paddling adventures or cabin decor!
This Skin-on Greenland Sea Kayak is a replica of the West Greenland kayak collected in about 1834 that currently sits in the Danish National Museum.
The kayak weighs approximately 35 pound is about 18 feet long. If it sells and goes to someone who is actually going to paddle it, I'll work with them to outfit it so it fits for paddling. The kayak is covered in nylon and sealed with artist-pigment-tinted polyurethane. and the deck toggles are deer antler.
If using this kayak for paddling purposes, Tony Schmitz will work with the winner to fully outfit the kayak for top-notch paddling capabilities.

Anthony Brandenburg is the son of Jim Brandenburg, a world-known National Geographic photographer from Minnesota. Anthony is a talented photographer in his own right, with his work reflecting his deep appreciation of nature and the outdoors, and love for the North Woods of Minnesota. He was 11 years old when his Africa travel photography was first published in National Geographic World magazine. Anthony currently works with the Brandenburg Prairie Foundation and is a fine art darkroom printer.

Our time houseboat camping in Voyageurs National Park was nearing the end. We had spent dazzling days collecting wild blueberries, watching eagles soar across the sky, and lazily floating on tubes in the lake. Evenings were spent around a campfire making s'mores, reading Greek mythology, and stargazing. Before we crawled into our bunks for the night, I ran out for one last glimpse of the stars. The sun that had shone over our lovely day seemed reluctant to pass guard over to the twinkling stars and blazing comet as if like me, it couldn't bear to see the day end.
This fine art giclee print is expertly printed on-demand in California on archival UV resistant Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper-painstakingly chosen for its heirloom quality, velvety matte finish, and stunning pictorial depth and detail.
