"I was drawn to this poem because I loved the dreams of the hopeful young woman. I thought I could make a complete piece using my crater glaze that has been associated with the surface of the moon. I always am amazed at the secret, subconscious world of the dream state."
Todd Leech is a full - time studio artist working in Cleveland. He has participated in more than 150 exhibitions. Career highlights include, residencies at Red Lodge Clay Center, Montana (2018), Medalta International Artists -in-Residence, Alberta (2014, 2008, 2005), Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts, Maine (2013), and Guldagergaard Ceramic Research Center, Denmark (2011). Most recently Leech has been accepted into the permanent collection of The Canton Art Museum (2019).

"I was drawn to this poem because it took a vow typically associated with marriage; to be with someone through sickness and health, and applied it to a larger societal issue. An issue that came to a head in the tumultuous year of 2020."
