While Summer Camp at YMCA Camp Kern near Oregonia, Ohio is dedicated to fun for kids and teens of all ages, it is so much more than that. Each program is designed with a specific age group in mind.
Traditional Camp is an overnight summer camp for all ages, with a different theme running through the activities each week. Main Ranch is for the 9 to 14 year olds where they spend the week learning about horses from the ground up.
Fully-Themed camps include Star Wars, Harry Potter, Neverland, Rangers Apprentice and Percy Jackson. Overnight themed camps are for ages 9 to 14 with a different camp running each session during the summer.
The Kern Challenge has campers leaving their comfort zone by completing all the adventures the camp has to offer. For ages 13 to 16, they learn to build self-confidence and friendships while trying the high ropes course to repelling.
For those ages 16 and above, Leadership Camps are available. Counselors in Training, Ranch Counselors in Training or Leaders in Training, will help develop the skills it takes to become a camp counselor while still enjoying all the fun of being at camp.
This certificate entitles the bearer to one week of summer camp in the program of your choice and can be used for any available program in the 2021 or 2022 Summer Camp Season.
