Iron Mutt 5K Run/Walk and 10 Mile Cycle Ride 6/26/2021 - Terms and Conditions

Must be accepted by a parent or guardian if registrant is under 18 at the time of accepting. I will register with data matching my ID. Falsifying name or date-of-birth may forfeit my registration. I acknowledge that entries are not transferable or refundable. I understand that participating in the Iron Mutt 5K Run/Walk and 10 Mile Cycle Ride is a potentially hazardous activity for both me and my dog, which could cause injury or death. Neither I nor my dog will enter and participate unless the dog and I are medically able and properly trained. I also affirm that any dog participating with me has current vaccinations. I agree to abide by any decision of an event official relative to my dog's and/or my participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my dog's and/or my participation for any reason whatsoever. I further agree that event officials may authorize necessary emergency treatment for me and/or my dog. I attest that I have read the rules of the race and agree to abide by them. I also understand that spectators may be present along the course and I assume the risk of participating under such conditions and any others that may arise. I further assume any and all risks associated with participating in this event, including but not limited to: injury, illness, falls, contact with spectators, other participants or dogs, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, and the surface conditions of the event path. I take personal responsibility for the animal I participate with and assume all responsibility for any legal claims that may arise from the actions of the animal. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Iron Mutt 5K Run/Walk and 10 Mile Cycle Run, the Naperville Area Humane Society, the St James Farm Forest Preserve, event officials, volunteers, and all event sponsors, their representatives and successors from any and all claims or liability of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I understand that skateboards and roller skates or roller blades are not allowed in the run/walk and I will abide by all race rules. I further understand that by participating in this event, I agree that Naperville Area Humane Society may use pictures of me and/or my dog for publicity or promotional purposes without any liability or obligation to me.
